The Division of Library and Information Services is presenting its annual FLYP workshops for the 2011 Summer Reading Program.
Youth services staff who are involved in planning and presenting library programs in Florida’s public libraries, as well as media specialists, are invited to attend this free, all-day workshop.
The morning session will focus on children’s (ages 5-11) programming; attendees will participate in singing, dancing, games and crafts.
After lunch, the focus will be on a demonstration of storytelling techniques and an overview of teen and adult programming.
Dress casually to participate in activities. Bring a camera, a clipboard to attach handouts and use as a lap table, and any ideas to share.
These programs are available free of charge through a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services.
