Cataloging Efficiencies that Make a Difference (Lakeland)

You are invited to join OCLC and Florida Southern College on February 17 for Good Practices for Great Outcomes: Cataloging Efficiencies that Make a Difference. You’ll hear from a variety of tech services staff as they share what’s working for them as they streamline workflows, improve cataloging and look ahead to RDA:

  • Debbi Dinkins, Head of Technical Services, Stetson University, Workflow Changes for Cataloging Ebooks;
  • Karen Winkle, Catalog Management Librarian, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Shortcuts for Doing Original Cataloging;
  • Jeanne Piascik, Cataloging Librarian, University of Central Florida, Panic-free Guide to RDA.

In addition, OCLC staff will share trends and the latest tools to help. An after-lunch roundtable discussion will allow you to share your ideas and experiences and discuss new ways of working to boost cataloging efficiencies.This event is free and open to all. Lunch will be provided, plus participants will have the option of touring the College’s archives and Frank Lloyd Wright buildings at the end of the day.
