Thursday, March 10, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, NEFLIN in Orange Park
Learn to use your digital camera in this beginning hands-on workshop and gain expertise for your library projects and support your digital media efforts. We’ll provide resources for photo editing, online photo albums, storage, best practices, tips and cheat sheets. You’ll learn the basics on components such as zoom, flash, and resolution. We will take photographs of various subjects using these components, then learn to download the pictures into a computer or direct upload to Social Media sites using various techniques. We’ll crop, resize and edit them for use in e-mails, web sites, social networks, and library displays. We’ll also talk about online photo sharing sites, creative ways to use and repurpose photos.
So bring your camera to class and get ready to have fun while you learn. Don’t forget to bring extra batteries, memory cards, and your camera manual. We’ll talk about these important components as well.
