Isn’t It Romantic? Romance Readers’ Advisory for the Unsentimental (Orange Park) (NEFLIN)

Thursday, February 10, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, NEFLIN in Orange Park
Romance novels are some of the most popular titles for the reading public. Romantic suspense and paranormal romance are dominating the bestseller lists and in paperback, romances lead the way in sales. It’s a genre not to be missed or dismissed. This workshop will help library staff understand the appeal of romance novels, know who is reading romance, and help find suggestions for voracious romance readers. Print and internet resources will be reviewed, working with readers, understanding the appeal and characteristics of a romance, and discussion of some of the most popular subgenres in romance. If you don’t have a heart for romance, we’ll give you one by the time the day is over.
