Libraries Going Mobile (SEFLIN)

From an article on CNN, analysts say mobile phones in the U.S. may act like wallets in 5 years and serve as ID. Libraries are already starting to incorporate mobile devices into their workflow, from texting a patron an answer to a reference question to sending overdue text messages. Topics discussed during this live online class will be a general overview of mobile trends in libraries, accessing catalogs and performing reference services via mobile devices. We’ll discuss the technology and privacy concerns as well.

Staff from Florida libraries may register for this workshop at no charge. Priority will be given to SEFLIN members. Non-members will be placed on a waiting list and added as space permits after the registration deadline.
