Making Your E-Resources Accessible with the WorldCat Knowledge Base (OCLC) (SWFLN)

The WorldCat KnowledgeBase (WCkb) is a database used to manage holdings information for electronic resources. In this course, library staff will learn how to use the Service Configuration module to manage your electronic resources holdings, how to enable your WorldCat Resources Sharing Service (WCRS) to take advantage of quick and easy delivery of online articles from your collection, as well as enable WorldCat Local for users to have a one-click access to your electronic resources. Also, learners will be able to identify problems they are likely to encounter and how to troubleshoot them.

The intended audience are staff members who manage electronic resources and license agreements.

A good prerequisite for this course is “The WorldCat Knowledge Base: What it is and why it matters to your library Implementing the WorldCat knowledge base”
