Wind in Their Sails: the built environment’s role in fostering community

According to the annual World Happiness Report the key to happiness lies in maintaining strong social support structures and meaningful relationships. When human wellbeing drives design, libraries become vibrant hubs for community gathering, hosts to impactful partnerships, and platforms for service innovation. This talk will describe the key tenets of human-centric design and show how great library buildings foster connected communities.
