Build Community: Turning Local Connections into Library Partnerships

June 10 @ 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm CDT

Florida libraries do more than provide services. They build community! This session explores practical ways library staff can develop meaningful local connections that expand outreach, increase visibility, and strengthen relationships with the communities they serve. Using real examples from St. Johns County Public Library System, this session will highlight creative and approachable partnership strategies, including a community-wide campaign for Library Card Sign-Up Month, collaborating with a local ice cream shop to create a book-themed flavor that promoted library awareness, and participating in parades and festivals to reach new audiences.
