Memory Lab and Beyond at Jacksonville Public Library
In January 2024, Jacksonville Public Library was awarded a $1M grant from the Mellon Foundation to expand and enhance its Memory Lab and the resources of its African American History Collection. During this presentation, the grant implementation team will give a brief overview of the 5-year project and discuss some of the ways they are developing partnerships with local organizations and individuals to build an African American History Digital Community Archive.
